What do Christians believe?
Christians believe the Bible. There are three main aspects that are told throughout the Bible: Creation, The Fall, and Redemption. In the beginning of the Bible, God explains how He created everything perfect. Everything was good until the first people, Adam and Eve, decided to disobey God {sin}, which caused The Fall or the end of God's perfect creation. Everything was now tainted or broken. People now needed to be redeemed. Someone had to fix what Adam and Eve broke by sinning. Christians believe this person is Jesus, God's son. They believe that Jesus was sent to Earth to live a perfect life and die on the cross for all humanity's sins. After dying, Jesus came back to life, mending our broken relationships with God.

Explanation of Christian Practices
Baptism: Something that Christians do to show that they believe in Jesus. It is done in different ways depending on where they go to church. There are 2 different methods of being baptized. Sprinkling with water and total immersion in water.

Communion: Something that Christians do to remember what Jesus did on the cross. They drink wine or juice to represent His blood, that was shed for their sins, and eat bread to represent His body, that was broken for them.

Religious Education: Christians meet regularly together to worship God and learn from the Bible. They call this Church and Sunday School.
How did Christianity spread in the Roman Empire?
There was a Christian named Paul who took long journeys in order to spread the good news about Jesus. He shared his faith with a lot of people and many believed in God and love him. However, the leader of the Roman Empire hated him because his people stopped believing in the religion he had step up for them. He thought that the best way to get rid of the Christians, was to scare them into not believing in Paul's God, by persecuting them. Eventually, Paul was arrested and killed.

The Emperor arrested, beat, and killed the Christians, but this did not stop the spread of Christianity. Four hundred years later, Rome's main religion was Christianity.
