1. Click the + (plus sign) to the right of the page

1. Click the + (plus sign) menu 2. Select the red layout menu 3. Choose your layout

You may want to change the order of the pages in your book to do. So, you want to go up to this little icon upper left-hand corner. It has the four little

boxes and that's going to allow you to view all the pages.

You can easily drag the pages to change the order.

You can also click on the three dots for each of the pages and you can say move and then select what page you want it to move to.

You can click on the three dots also and you can copy a page. If you want a second. One of these pages to then edit and you can delete

And you can always insert a new page as well. So lots of options in the page view.

1. On a new page, click + (plus sign) and "Text" in the "Media tab

3. Highlight the first title, click the link button, type the page number that matches that title, and click "Save"

2. Type the titles of each page (for example: "Creating a Table of Contents")

4. Repeat step 3 for every title (make sure to link to the correct page) 5. Click "Done" to save your text

1. Click the + (plus sign) and then "Shapes"

2. Select one of the shapes (rectangle or rounded rectangle work best)

3. Double-click on the shape and then type your text

4. Click the i button to format the text and/or color of text box, border, etc.

Click the i (Inspector button) to change the page background, text, and formatting for shapes!

To change the formatting of your page, the text, shapes images, whatever you have on each of your pages. You are going to click on the

I button, which is also called the inspector.

If I don't have anything selected that's on my page. When I click the I button, I'm going to have options for the background of my page. You want to think about how you

want your readers to feel while they're reading your book and that may help you pick an appropriate background

since I've selected the comic book format. It's going to give me some traditional comic backgrounds.

You're also going to have the option to do individual colors. You can also select more Colors by clicking the plus sign.

You're going to have some options for paper if that's how you want your book to look. So it could be lined paper. You could have musical lines as well, and graph paper, all

sorts of paper. You could have different borders. These are really great for title pages and things where you want your

I can add in a background. I can change a color. I can put a shadow which are not going to see on this one. It's a dark background. So there's many different things you

can change with that. If I click on a shape or if this was an image, and if I click on the inspector, I'm going to more options.

So in this case, I can change the color of it.

I can add a shadow again. You're not be able to see it. I can add a border and I can change the color border.

So, there's many different options you have in the inspector and it depends on what you have selected on your page.

1. Select a text box on your page 2. Click the i (Inspector) in the upper right 3. Change font, size, justification, color, etc.

You're going to have a couple of options. You want to click the one that just says text

in here. You're going to be able to add your text.

You can also link it to within the book or also a web address and when you're done,

Click the plus sign to see options for images, text layout, shapes!

Click here to add shapes that can be used as textboxes.

Click here to search for images or upload (cannot copy and paste).

1. Click the plus sign and then select "Record"

5. Select either "Delete" and try again or "Use recording" to add it to your book

Note: The icons will look different depending on the type of book.

Creating a new book and changing the title

To create a new book, you're going to click plus new book.

Then you're going to select your book shape. We recommend that you pick landscape 4:3 comic. That doesn't mean it's going to look like a comic book, but you're going to have a lot more layout options.

It's going to open up ready to be edited. But we want you to change the name of your book

to do that. Click the back arrow to my books.

And then when you hover over the book that you just created, click on the three dots,

you can change the name of the book by clicking on the name of the book which the default is a new book.

So you can change this to the title of your book, whatever it is.

1. Click the + (plus sign) and then "Images" from the "Media" tab

2. Search for images to add or upload from your computer (you cannot copy and paste images)

To add images in tiles if you added a layout to your pages, 1. Click the + (plus sign) in the center of the tile 2. To resize or move the image in the tile, click the image to reveal the multi-arrow

Changing the sizes of tiles

While you're making your book, you might add in layouts and you can actually edit those layouts to match your story that you're creating. So if you click

on the plus sign and add in a layout to your page, it doesn't matter which one you pick, whichever one you want to start with. Let's say I want to start with this one right here.

And so if you click on any of these tiles, you notice how there's the little lock icon on all these corners if you want to change, what that looks Like you can click on

it, right click. And you can say unlock when you say unlock, this means that you can change the size of it. So

I might want to then delete this one over here. I can right, click on it. I can say unlock and then I can click the delete button and

now it's changed. So I can change the overall shape of them. I can then go back and relock them if I don't want them to change shape

again, just right click on it and say lock and then they're locked and they can't be moved.

When you're designing your cover, you want to think about the feeling you want your readers to leave with. And also, you want to think about how are you going to grab the attention

of your reader? So they select your book and began to read it.

You can change the background cover of your book by going to the inspector button. In there, you can pick the different formats. You can pick the comic

backgrounds. That would be more for more lighthearted subject. If you have a more serious subject, you might want to go for a single color

or you could go for, you can do the paper backgrounds. Some of these borders are a little bit more lighthearted.

Or you can always go for different patterns or textures

Depending on which background you want, you can select that. And then you can always add in the layout. If you click the plus button, you can add in the layout.

So if you go down here to the red layout button, you're going to have different layouts. Depending on what you want...If you want just one big image to be on your,

on your cover. You can always click this. And then when you click on that panel, you can click the plus button and you can add an image. You can both search through Google

or you can upload one from your computer.

You can also add in text so plus and then text, you can have some pre-made tax. But again, you want to think about the mood of your book.

If you click on text, you can add in your text. You want to have your title.

And then you're able to click on the inspector button and you can change the font and the color and you can move it and have your cover ready
