Would you like to know how the horrific World War 2 started? It was when
Adolf Hitler decided that he wanted more territory. World War 1 had only concluded 21 years before WW2 had commenced, ending in 1918. In 1933, German citizens didn't voted for a political leader called Adolf Hitler, however he still came to power. The dictator publicly announced that he would make Germany great again , that's when the tragic event began. Adolf Hitler then sent his German troops (Nazis soldiers) to invade Poland.This made Europe angry and Great Britain too so they began WW2. If you would like to find out more then read on.

World War 2 commenced when Hitler was eager for more territory. So in order to get more territory he invaded Poland with an astonishing number of 1.25 million soldiers ,then many countries decided to use conflict on each other. Selfish, egotistic Hitler was evil: he killed lots of people. Neville Chamberlain was unhappy with the invasion so he declared war!

Did you know that there were over 60 countries in the war, more than 20 of which were allies?
England had many allies in Europe: Poland and France ( also many more.) The Axis were powered by Hitler's unique characteristics whilst the Allies were controlled by the powerful character which was Winston Churchill .There were three hurtful countries in the Axis power: Germany,Italy and Japan . England showed amazing teamwork in the war.

This paragraph is all about the leaders. There are many leaders in World War Two but the 2 main leaders Winston Churchill along with Adolf Hitler.

Winston Churchill

Winston Churchill was the man who inspired the Allied forces to glory and when things didn't look so good he kept them going. Winston Churchill was born on the 30th November 1874 in Benlheim palace! Winston Churchill became prime minister of the United Kingdom from 1940 to 1945 and then from 1951 to 1955! Preston Primary School has got one of his greatest and most famous quotes on a wall:Never never give up.




Adolf Hitler
Sneaky Adolf loved power.He invaded Poland with his Nazi troops:the beginning of ww2. He was born in Austria on 20 April 1889-he died on 30th April ,10 days after his birthday. When Hitler's army surrendered he committed suicide while also killing all his family including his dog. England called ww2 as a victory for the allies .
In conclusion,
World War Two was a life changing six years where citizens suffered and died and lots of people lost loved ones ...Adolf Hitler tried to take over the planet but failed . The most terrible and heroic events took place in World War 2.
We shall fight on the beaches,we shall fight on the landing grounds,we shall fight in the hills;we shall never surrender,and if,which I do not for a moment believe,this island or a large part of it were subjugated and starting,then our Empire beyond the seas,armed and guarded by the British Fleet,would carry on the struggle,until,in gods good time,the liberation of the old.
