Did you know that there were over 60 countries in the war, more than 20 of which were allies?
England had many allies in Europe: Poland and France ( also many more.) The Axis were powered by Hitler's unique characteristics whilst the Allies were controlled by the powerful character which was Winston Churchill .There were three hurtful countries in the Axis power: Germany,Italy and Japan . England showed amazing teamwork in the war.

Winston Churchill

Winston Churchill was the man who inspired the Allied forces to glory and when things didn't look so good he kept them going. Winston Churchill was born on the 30th November 1874 in Benlheim palace! Winston Churchill became prime minister of the United Kingdom from 1940 to 1945 and then from 1951 to 1955! Preston Primary School has got one of his greatest and most famous quotes on a wall:Never never give up.




Adolf Hitler
Sneaky Adolf loved power.He invaded Poland with his Nazi troops:the beginning of ww2. He was born in Austria on 20 April 1889-he died on 30th April ,10 days after his birthday. When Hitler's army surrendered he committed suicide while also killing all his family including his dog. England called ww2 as a victory for the allies .
