World War II , a grim time , went on for a terrifying, tiring and most of all threatening six years. World War II, took place only 21 years after World War I (1914–1918). Children and pets were evacuated during the war because of the bombing, invading and destroying. Tragically, it's estimated between 70 and 85 million people lost there lives during World War II, but due to the chaos of the war it is impossible to give an exact number. World War II is referred to as a world war because lots of the countries were involved such as: USA ( United States of America ), United Kingdom, Germany, France, Russia and lots more. The Outcome of World War I
It is well believed that Adolf Hitler was furious with the outcome of World War I. This is because Germany lost the war. Eventually, when Germany lost the war they were punished as a result (this meant that they had to have large portions of land taken away from them). During World War Two Adolf Hitler was a soldier in the First World War and then, because of his fury when they lost fragments of their land, he became a Nazi leader in the Second World War and then eventually the leader of Germany. Interestingly, there were many leaders that were involved in WW2, but not all of them played their part as being a loyal leader.

Adolf Hitler although he was a German leader, was, believe it or not, was born in a small town in Austria. His precise birth date is the 20 April 1889 and died of suicide after he shot himself. He did this because he was afraid that the Russians ( his rivals) were going to find him and do something horrific to him.

Winston Churchill

Winston Churchill was one of the great world leaders of the 20th century. His leadership helped Britain to stand strong against Hitler and the Nazis,even when they were the last country left fighting. He was born 30th November, 1874 in Oxfordshire, England and died 24th January 1965 in London, England. He was not healthy during World War Two. He had a heart attack in 1941 and pneumonia in 1943. Neville Chamberlain was Prime Minister before Winston Churchill took over but due to the chaos of deciding whether to start war the public voted for Winston Churchill.
They had violated the rules of war according to the Geneva convention and had also committed crimes against humanity.These crimes included the holocaust,slave labor,and the terrible treatment and torture of prisoners of war.

To conclude, World War Two ended on 15th Of August, 1945 when the Axis surrender their power. After World War Two, many leaders from Japan and Germany were brought to trial. Also, many countries borders needed to be set and the governments re-established where Germany or Japan had taken over. Did you know that World War Two lasted a shocking six years.

6.9 to 7.5 million Germans had been killed,roughly 8.26 to 8.86% of the population.
