Many Historians say that Winston Churchill was one of the great war leaders of the time: he lead a country that was on the brink of defeat to victory. At the out break of war, Churchill was in fact not the prime Minister. Churchill took over from Chamberlain when he resisted in 1940. Soon after Churchill, who was the leader of Great Britain sought to inspire the country to keep fighting, even when the odds were against them. Eventually, Great Britain won the war and soon after Churchill's party (the Tories) were defeated in the general election by the Labour Party. Unsurprisingly, this did not stop Churchill from serving his country he continued to serve until his death on 24th January 1965.

Adolf Hitler Few people say, that Adolf Hitler was a greater war leader than Winston Churchill he thought everyone accept Germans were useless. There were at least 42 known assassination plots against Hitler. He had a plot to kill Winston Churchill with a bomb planted in chocolate. While fighting in WWI. Adolf temporarily went blind from a mustard gas attack. Eventually, Germany lost the war and during the war he shot himself(with a service pistol!)

Conclusion Thankfully,WW2 concluded on the 2nd September 1945 when the Japanese finally surrendered As the Nazis surrendered ( May 1945) before the war concluded. The war was gory and violent: an abundance of people lost their lives or had their lives changed as a result. A few people look back at the wars and think that it should be forgotten.
