Before D-day, England and USA (America) wanted to practice for the landings so both countries met up at Lyme bay and then sailed to Slapton. But a mix up occurred and England had to go to Plymouth to repair their ships and America were all alone. German submarines intercepted radio messages and torpedoed the convoy killing many hundreds of the sailors. The survivors were told to keep this disaster a secret and threatened with Court Marshall if they spoke of it.

Conclusion
Loading...
In conclusion, World war 2 was the deadliest War ever and over 80 million people died.
Fortunately, Germany surrendered and the fighting stopped a few days after Hitler died. Did you know that, Adolf Hitler killed his girlfriend and dog before he killed himself ( he did not want them to give away the evidence)? Some people still believe that he escaped and he went to live in the Mountains; others think that Hitler committed suicide. Some people also think that the war should have been forgotten years ago and think that we should focus on the present; others think that it is educational and that we need to learn about our mistakes. At the end of the World War Two Hitler decided to kill himself so that he would not be found by the Russian people. If he were found by the Russians then he would be tortured. Some say that he hid up in the mountains and is still alive now; others believe that it was not actually the dead body and that nobody will ever find it.
