I’m in the mountains
In all the white fluffy snow
Time to do some jumps

Hit the big take off
I go flying through the air
I hope that I land

Thick heavy powder
Time for a day in the trees
Try not to hit one

In The Trees
The mountains are my safe place, my home, my bed.
The trees are wooden buildings that’ll out live me.
The ocean is the calm relief of sleep.
The grass is a green pillow to lay my head.
The loud noisy streams are a song that’s perfectly in key.
And the animals are the people who leave without a peep.
Simile Poem
Tall as a mountain
Thin as a page
Calm as a fountain
Strong as a cage

Dumb as a rock
Sharp as a pin
Slow as a clock
Competitive as a win

Fast as a car
Bright as a light
Fit as a fountain
Rare as a kite
Fiddler’s Green Remix
Original:
Fiddler’s Green by The Tragically Hip
September seventeen
For a girl I know it's Mother's Day
Her son has gone alee
And that's where he will stay
Wind on the weathervane
Tearing blue eyes sailor-mean
As Falstaff sings a sorrowful refrain
For a boy in Fiddler's Green
His tiny knotted heart
Well, I guess it never worked too good
The timber tore apart
And the water gorged the wood
You can hear her whispered prayer
For men at masts that always lean
The same wind that moves her hair
Moves a boy through Fiddler's Green
Oh, nothing's changed anyway
Oh, nothing's changed anyway
Oh, anytime today
He doesn't know a soul
There's nowhere that he's really been
But he won't travel long alone
No, not in Fiddler's Green
Balloons all filled with rain
As children's eyes turn sleepy-mean
And Falstaff sings a sorrowful refrain
For a boy in Fiddler's Green
