Who am I in Society?
As sensitive as a bunny
As curious as a goat
As cautious as a crosswalk
As protective as a moat
As anxious as an armadillo
As stressed as a wire
As fragile as a teacup
As pressured as a tire
As misunderstood as a moth
That is me
Things I believe that were shaped
By society

An Alternative Life
Going to camp is like entering an alternative life.
The song of the loon welcomes you home like a warm hug.
The people around you are like a second family,
sharing a connection deeper than the surrounding lakes.
The stars shine brighter than ever before,
like spotlights from the night sky.
Algonquin fills you up with existential emotion,
Leading you across the park like it already knows every step you will take.
Singing songs that open up the heavens with their overwhelming beauty.
The final night filled with tears that flood the tents like a hurricane.
The memories like they have been forever recorded in history.

Living in a Rainforest
The trees are swaying
The rain is whipping outside
In a rain forest

Where I Belong
In Algonquin park
It is here that I belong
Among lakes and trails
