ℛ𝑜𝓈𝒶 𝒫𝒶𝓇𝓀𝓈 was an African-American human rights activist. She was born on February 4, 1913 in Tuskegee.
She was the first child of James and Leona McCauley. After the parents' divorce, Rosa with her mother and brother moved to grandparents living in Pine Level in Alabama. Rosa came into contact with racism really early - when she was 11, she graduated village school, in which was racial segregation. "Black" students went to school on foot, while the white students were provided with transportation and new builidings. 
In 1932 she get married with Raymond Parks which was hairdresser and member of National Association for the Progress of the People of Color.

ℐ𝓃 Montgomery there were rules that made it clear that on the buses the first 10 rows of seats were reserved for white passengers and the others were allowed for black occupants. In addition, there was an unwritten rule that - in the event that white passengers took all the seats intended for them - blacks should give way to another white people who wanted to take a seat.
First of December 1955, Rosa as instructed, sat down in the eleventh row. When bus fulfilled with white people, driver told Rosa to go to the rear of the vehicle. She refused. Driver call the police to arrest her. 
Four days later a court hearing was held. Rosa Parks was found guilty by the court and charged with costs. She refused to pay, and as a result she and her husband lost their jobs and gained a bad reputation.

Rosa Parks is still considered one of the symbols of the fight against racial segregation and is also called "the mother of the civil rights movement". She has been repeatedly honored and awarded for her activities, including the Gold Medal of the Congress of the United States, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and the Martin Luther King.
