Driving Question: How can my final project of the year show off my skills as a courageous, independent thinker and exceptional learner?
The final trimester of our school year was unavoidably and suddenly conducted via online learning. Our students adapted quickly and worked hard to continue learning. As the school year came to an end, our school community embraced our belief that project-based learning is engaging and stimulating for learners of every age. Our last two weeks of school were therefore spent on Passion Projects. During this final project of our year, students had the opportunity to explore a topic they are passionate or curious about. They explored, researched, practiced, and learned about their topic and shared their learning or new skills with creativity and excellence. Choice, voice, authenticity, and ACTION took the front seat for this project.
Students chose a rich topic to research and explore and developed a driving question, a purpose, and a plan. They worked independently on their project for two weeks, reflecting each day on their work and learning and planning for the next day's tasks. They completed a final product to document their skill and understanding. This digital book provides a peek into their processes and products. They are proud to share it with you!

Hello. I am Dakota. I am a single child and I play the piano. I'm a decent gamer and adore animals! I love the ocean and the things inside of it, that's how me and Casey came up with our topics.
