Learning Advance 2022

During Loon Lake our DI team was able to get a good amount of work done. We were also able to do a couple of reaharsals of the script which was useful.

During wind down I drew this picture. The core competency I used for this is creative thinking because I had to come up with a cretative way to draw this map. I used colour gradients to make it look cooler.

I want to learn how to survive in the wild. I also want to learn how to build shelters and other survival techniques.

I am excited to play laser tag, if we get to. I am also excited to eat the delicious  food.

Replace this box with a map shows North Vancouver to Loon Lake, then add a drawing tracing the route of our trip.

On future field studies I now know to take lots of photos so I can record more about my learning. I’m excited for my next field study becuase on this field study I talked to and got to know a lot of new people and we got to do a lot of fun activities.

I made a collage using worlds to describe our Advisory Group.

I found the lake really beautiful, it was so clear and the reflection was amazing.

I really enjoyed the food that we had during the retreat. My favourite meal was definitely the burgers, but I also really enjoy the waffles we had on the last day. 

This is a photo that I edited using superimpose x.  One of our teachers taught us how do do simple editing, using layers and masking. This skill has come in useful for the project I’m currently working on where we have to create a triptych. 

For battle archery we had to use collaberation. We had to work with our team to win, and we had to support each other’s decisions. 

I drew a picture of all the forts I learned how to make. The first fort is an A-Frame which is what my team built. An A-Frame is made with a base stick and there are A bunch of other sticks along it to create an A shape. Then there’s the Tipee which is where you balance a bunch of sticks in a cone shape. The last one is called a Lean To. A Lean To is basically an A-Frame but with one open side.

I took this photo while taking a short hike around loon lake. I think this photo looks good because you can see the reflection in the lake and you can also see the nice wood cabin in the background<br/><br/>

Our room was actually not the worst. We had 4 bunk beds and we each got our own section. We also had to sleep in sleeping bags because they didn’t have sheets.
