HOLIDAY POSTCARDS

BARCELONE

Hi Amelia,
How are you? I hope that fine because I'm very happy. I'm in Barcelone with my family. We've been here just two days and we're going to be here for two more.
In these few days I haven't been in a lot of places but the places I've been are amazing. The first thing I did when I came here was going to a Catalan restaurant near the ''Sagrada Familia''. The food is not much different from Valencian food , but it has their specialties. The "Sagrada Familia" is spectacular: its history, its structure...

We've been to ''Plaza Catalunya'' and we've done some shopping, we've bought souvenirs, clothes, food and other things. At night we've walked around the beach and the ''Jardí Botànic''.
Tomorrow me and my mum are going to Harry Styles Concert, and we're very excited about it, we're going to stay almost all day in the queue to be closer to him.
I'll tell you all about it when I come back.

Hi Amelia,
We're in Benidorm, we arrived five days ago and it has been great. Have you ever been? I can't believe the week passed so quickly.
I've played volleyball with my friend Sergio and I've enjoyed it. I've swum on the pool and the beach.

I've also been to a mountain called Sierra Helada. There's an old legend that says if you arrive to the lost island of Benidorm, once you are there, there is no way to return unless you leave a trail. But, as many legends, it is false, several people have managed to return perfectly.
I haven't bought you anything, sorry.
I hope to see the best English teacher tomorrow.

BENIDORM

GALICIA

Hi Amelia,
We are staying in Galicia for some days. We arrived here last Friday and it is being such a great experience. We have done lots of things , like going to an aquarium or visiting a museum,I do not want to leave this beautiful place!
I have done other things, like going to a little theme park or surfing at a famous beach. This activity was the most difficult one, because the waves were 3 metres high! All the people were excited, they just wanted to dive into the water, but first we had a short lesson about how to move on the board. Finally, I managed to stand on the board and when the lessons finished, I was very happy.
I have not bought you a souvenir because they were too expensive, but I have something better than that for you. Are you able to guess what it is?

Ibiza

Hello Amelia,
I'm in Ibiza! Have you ever been to Ibiza? I can not believe it! these 2 days have happened to me very fast. The first day as soon as I arrived I left the luggage at the hotel and went for a walk with my family on a large beach. It was dinner time and we went to a nearby Italian restaurant. After dinner we returned to the hotel to sleep.
The next day we went to another beach with crystal clear waters, which I liked a lot because of the colourful fish that were under the water. Afterwards we went to a restaurant called The Cave of the Crab, where we ate a delicious paella. Later we came back to the hotel to tell you how everything is going. I've bought a souvenir for you!

Hi Amelia,
I'm in Benidorm. I arrived 8 days ago and it has been fun. I've played
“Pokemon Go”, I've swum in the sea, I've ridden a rented bike, I've had dinner in a restaurant…
I've explored Benidorm and I've met new friends. We have played volleyball on the beach, watched films and we have played with the playstation. We've also rented a pedal boat, the pedals broke and we had to
come back swimming.
I haven´t done bungee jumping yet, but we are going to do it next weekend. I will tell you everything.

BENIDORM

GALICIA

Hi Amelia,
We're in Galicia! We've been here for two weeks and they've been one of the best holidays I've ever had. Have you ever been?
The best part of the trip was when we went to the different beaches in Galicia. The water was very cold but I had a lot of fun. We've visited a lot of museums and a village that was inhabited by the Celts. We've also been to the beach to hunt crabs and one of the big ones bit my brother. It hurt him a lot.
I haven't bought any souvenir because we forgot, but I don't care because I will never forget that experience.

IBIZA

Hi Amelia,
I'm in Ibiza! I arrived on Monday afternoon with my parents. The week has passed so quickly, because we have done a lot of activities! I've been to the beach, I've swum in the swimming pool...

We've been to a market called "Las Dalias" and there were some beautiful things. I¡'ve bought a very cool bracelet and some things to decorate my bedroom. On Tuesday we went to a beach called "Cala Bassa", where the water is too transparent and the sand is white. On Tuesday night we went to a beautiful restaurant, but the food wasn't really nice.

I haven't been to the shops because I wanted to spend my time seeing the island, because people said that it's beautiful.

Hi!
I have been to Jávea, a town in the Valencian Community. This place stands out for its beautiful beaches and coves of sand and rocky. I've had a lot of fun.
It's been a lot of fun as inside the cove there was a platform where you could stand up and through the water you could see with the goggles fish and crabs diving. On the beach I've had a very good time because it was relaxing and I've played volleyball.

I wanted to get into a cave where it was more difficult to dive, but I haven't been able to do it. Maybe next time.

NORTH OF SPAIN

Hi Amelia!!
I've been to the North of Spain with my chorus, because we had to sing in some concerts. We've been there for two weeks singing and having fun. We've visited León, Astorga, Covadonga, Santiago de Compostela, Vitoria, Bilbao, Oviedo, Santander and San Sebastián.
We've visited the Guggenheim museum in Bilbao, then we've swum in the sea in San Sebastian. We've been to the mountains in Santander. In Oviedo we've visited the Monte Naranco, and in Covadonga we've been to the Santa Cueva de Covadonga. In Santiago and Astorga we've seen the cathedrals and in Astorga we've sung at the Catedral. In León we've eaten at the Barrio El Húmedo.
We haven't done the Camino of Santiago because we were to busy and we had a lot of concerts and a lot of things to visit. We haven't swum too much because in the North of Spain the water is too cold .

SEVILLE

Hi Amelia,
We're staying in Seville! We arrived three days ago and it´s been great. Have you ever been? I can't believe these days have passed so quickly. We've visited lots of interesting places and we've done lots of things.
I've seen the river Guadalquivir too. I was very excited because it's very famous in Spain. We've rented a boat and we have been sailing for two hours. It's been a very nice experience!
I've seen football match between Sevilla C.F. and Levante U.D. at the stadium. Luckily, Levante won 0-2. I've enjoyed a lot this day! We've also visited La torre del oro and El puente de Triana. We went in the evening because with their lights on, both are more beautiful. Later, we had dinner in a restaurant of the city centre.

I haven't bought you the Seville C.F. t-shirt yet, because when I went to buy it, the official store was closed, but I promise I'll buy it before I come to Valencia.
