Coco's Escape

In the jungle, there lived a happy baby panda named Coco. She lived a peaceful life in the jungle with her family, the jungle was a quiet place where everyone was friends! It had tall trees and a quiet river. The zoo, had a feeling that it was cold and dark, it was empty and bare. The leaves were crisp, and the walls were stone.

While Coco and her family were peacefully sleeping, Coco got startled by a man dressed in which looked like a zookeeper. As the man tiptoeing closer she noticed that he had a net, and a bag. She took a glance around seeking for help but everyone had a worried look and was hiding. “What's happening,”Coco shrieked to herself.

Coco started panicking and didn’t know what to do, the man was getting closer and closer she was running out of time. Next thing she new, she was trapped in a big net. Her little squeaks of help wouldn’t wake up anyone, she new she just had to give up. Coco got locked in the back of an old white van, it was a bumpy ride but she happened to fall asleep. When she woke up she was put in a stoney small exhibit.

After spending days at this dark, cold, and bare zoo she couldn't stand to think of spending one more night there. Coco decided that the next day she needed to escape. “The only way I can get out of here is to run out the doors while the zookeeper comes in to feed me. I need to get some sleep because I have a long journey ahead of me.” Coco thought of her plan all night long, eager to escape the zoo and return to her family.

The next morning came fast. Coco awakened to the sound of her exhibit doors opening. “Wake up! Eat quickly we don’t want to waste our time feeding you.” Coco slowly walked over to her food and began to eat. The zookeeper sat on the ground under the tree and stared at his phone, not even caring about Coco. Coco decided this was the perfect time to distract the zookeeper. Coco noticed a loose branch on the tree. She dashed up the big tree and broke down a big branch to trap the zookeeper. Because of this distraction Coco is able to run out the doors and escape her exhibit.

After Coco dashed out the doors, she ran down the paths of the zoo. Luckily it was early enough for the zoo to be closed. Coco was running out of the zoo when the hairy baboons caught Coco’s attention and threatened to tell the zookeepers of he plan to escape. “No please dont tell them! I need to get back to my family!”, coco cried. “We have been trying to escape this place for years, why would we let you escape!”, yelled the baboons.

Coco thought of a way to convince the baboons to let her go. Coco happened to have fruit with her. “If I give you my fruit, will you promise not to tell the zookeepers?” The baboons looked at each other, looked back at Coco and agreed. Coco let out a sigh of relief as she handed the fruit over to the baboon. She dashed away and continued on her journey. Just a few minutes later, she got found her chance to get passed the big brown doors, she jumped onto the large bamboo stick next to the doors.
