1. Max Crumbly: Locker Hero

Max Crumbly is an 8th grade boy who is unpopular and struggles with bullies. One afternoon, a bully pushes him in his locker which causes him to be stuck there all weekend. Eventually, he manages to break a hole in the backside of his locker, and escapes. He crawls through the vents of his school and gets to the computer lab where he finds some robber trying to steal computers. Will Max ever escape the school? This book is a cliff hanger. I would rate this book a 5 star because it was funny and kept me on the edge of my seat.

2. Max Crumbly #2

Max Crumbly is an 8th grade boy who gets pushed around by bullies. This book left off where the first book ended. His new friend Erin helps him escape the school while trying to stop some robbers in the computer lab. This book will only make sense if you read #1 first. I definitely recommend this book, in my opinion this book is 5 stars, because it was thrilling and funny.

3. The Dogs of Christmas

Josh works from home on his computer. One day he is forced to dogsit a pregnant dog. Josh ends up going to a shelter with the newborns, because he has never had a dog before and doesn’t know what he’s doing. He meets a woman named Kerri, who helps him raise the puppies. Eventually he has to return the mother dog, Lucy, to her original owner. Also, he puts the puppies up for adoption. He realizes he wants to keep the puppies, but it’s too late. Will Josh ever get the puppies back? This book was really good. I would rate it 5 stars because it was touching and funny. I absolutely recommend this book.

4. Sit, Stay, Love

Cecilia Murray volunteers at the dog shelter every day. Eventually a new pug dog comes. She wants to keep the dog for herself, but she can’t have a dog because of her aunt. Eric Chung (an arrogant boy at her school) adopts Potato (the dog). What will Cecilia do? Sabotage Eric or let him have the dog. This book was funny, and had me full of anticipation. I would rate it 4 stars because it was pretty good but it wasn’t life changing. I recommend this book.
