Monument to Luka Botić in Đakovo

At the beginning of the Đakovo promenade (from Strossmayer Square), since spring 2013, sits a bronze statue of Luka Botić, the work of an academic sculptor Marijan Sušac. This statue is a gift from Benašić couple to residents of Đakovo on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the death of the famous writer.

The municipality of Strizivojna is one of 35 municipalities in the Osijek-Baranja County. It is located in the southeastern part of the county and covers an area of 36.26 km², which is 0.9% of the county area. The municipality consists of settlements Strizivojna and Merolino Sikirevačko. The administrative seat of the municipality is located in Strizivojna.
Strizivojna has the longest street in the Republic of Croatia; it is called Braće Radića Street and it is 7.8 kilometers long. The mayor is Josip Jakobović.
