The Launch Cycle: helping heARt StickersLoading...
By Isabelle LeonardWhat is the L.A.U.N.C.H cycle?
The launch cycle is a cycle showing a good way to complete all your work for a project. It shows all the steps and the main ideas you should focus on in that stage. There are 7 phases to the cycle and they all form the acronym L.A.U.N.C.H.
Phase 1
Look, listen, and learn
I wanted to re create the medic alert bracelet in a way where you can get information right away.
Using the app HP reveal you can scan over your personalized sticker and get your medic information and the steps that need to be taken.
My friend Kaiya faints and if she were to do it in public with no one she knew, someone could easily scan her sticker and know what to do.

Phase 2
Ask tons of questions
To help me with this project I sent an email to my dad’s friend who is a paramedic and asked a bunch of questions around what to do if there is a scenario where someone faints in public and is surrounded by people that don’t know them and don’t know what to do. Here are some screenshots of the email.
Phase 2
Ask tons of questions
For this project we all had to have a non PLP peer be our client. Mine was Kaiya Perkins who is my friend from school. I knew Kaiya fainted frequently and thought I could make this to help her. So over text I interviewed her about what she does before and after she faints.
Phase 3
Understand the problem
Throughout this project I did a lot of research online. I researched about the actual fear that I’d be fixing with these stickers. The fear is of fainting or having some sort of medical emergency without someone you know there. I also did some secondary research about the current medic alert bracelet as my product is similar.
