Peacocks are large, colourful birds. Females are called peahens, and their babies are called peachicks. Peacocks eat insects, plants, fruit, seeds, ants, flies, snakes and amphibians.
They live in forests, farmland, bushland and other warm regions.
Peacocks live in many Asian countries, they are dominant in India, Sri Lanka and Myanmar.
Their bodies are covered with brown feathers. Males have an enlongated tail with impressive blue and greenish feathers.
Peacocks are highly social and territorial birds.
