In the kingdom of animals, there is the group of mammals. They live everywhere. Most mammals are viviparous, because they give birth to their young one and baby mammals drink milk from their mothers’ bodies. They are vertebrates so they have backbones, they can breathe air with lungs and they are warm-blooded. Mammals can be carnivores, herbivores or omnivores.

Another difference is the following: how babies grow into their mothers’ bodies, for example, kangaroos, koalas are marsupial mammals; platypuses are monotreme mammals; whales and dolphins are placental mammals. Platypuses lay eggs but their babies drink milk from their mothers’ bodies.

Pandas have black and white fur and they look like bears.&nbsp;Pandas live in China, they are mammals and they eat bamboo.&nbsp;They are placental mammals. They are about 1.5 m in height and they weigh between 80 and 200 kg. They live about 35/40 years. Pandas do not hibernate. In China,&nbsp;pandas have 20 different names. These beautiful bears are endangered.

Air pollution is very dangerous for our Earth and living things.

Mammals breathe in and out, through their mouth and nose. Air goes into the lungs. Humans need clean air to stay healthy. Traffic fumes and smoke can be harmful, if you breathe them in. Whales, dolphins and porpoises breathe through a blowhole on the top of their head. Keep air clean&nbsp;for the health of humanity!

This is a toco toucan. It is black and white. It is a bird. Its beak is long and orange. It lives in South America. Toucan has&nbsp;got wings and it can fly. It lays eggs so it is an oviparous. It  eats insects, eggs, birds and fish. It can sing.  It has got blue eyes and blue legs.

Reptiles are animals that lay eggs. Their skin is covered with scales or bony plates. Most reptiles eat meat, insects and small animals. Reptiles are cold-blooded: their bodies react to the temperature of their surroundings. If they get too hot, they can go to cool off. If they get too cold, they can use the sun to warm up. There are many different types of reptiles such as snakes,crocodiles,alligators, lizards and turtles. Turtles have a big shell to protect them and can live for more than 100 years. Female sea turtles usually lay their eggs on the beach. Reptiles can be found on every continent except for Antarctica.

The ostriches are the largest living birds. They are oviparous. The eggs of ostriches are the largest eggs in the world. Unlike most other birds, the ostriches can't fly, but they can run very fast. Ostriches are tall birds. Male ostriches are mostly black, with white feathers on the wings and tail. The females are mostly brown.

Some farm animals are mammals. For example:

It is the king of dinosaurs. It is big. It has got a long tail, two long legs  and two short arms. It has got sharp teeth and claws. It has got scaly skin. It walks on two legs. It eats small dinosaurs.

Everything you can touch, taste, smell and see is made of matter. Air, water, rocks and people are matter. Matter is something that takes up space and has weight . There are three states&nbsp;of matter: SOLID,LIQUID and GAS . A SOLID has a definite shape. It does not take the shape of its container. A LIQUID does not have a definite shape. It takes the shape of its container. A GAS does not have a definite shape. It sometimes takes the shape of its container and sometimes flies freely in the air.

Giraffes are mammals. They are tall animals. They range from 4.6 to 6.1 metres in height. They weigh about 800 kilograms. They live in the savannah.&nbsp;They are herbivores. They are yellow and brown. They sleep near the rivers, they sometimes sleep standing up. A baby giraffe, when it is just born, can walk.

The penguin is a bird that lives in the South Pole. It has an orange beak. It has wings, but it can’t fly. It is black and white. It lays eggs so it is an oviparous. It eats fish and it slides on ice. It can swim and waddle.

Koalas are marsupial mammals. They live in the&nbsp;forests of Eastern Australia. They eat eucalyptus leaves so they are herbivores. They climb trees.&nbsp;They have grey fur with a cream-coloured chest. They are small animals.

The platypus is a monotreme mammal: female platypus lays eggs and baby platypus sucks milk from its mother's skin. It lives in Eastern Australia from the North Queensland to the freezing Tasmania. It eats worms, shrimps and insects. It has a duck bill and a flat tail. It sleeps fourteen hours a day. It lives for about twelve years.

The European robin is a small passeriform&nbsp;bird. Adults&nbsp;have&nbsp;orange breast while the feathers are olive brown. It is an insectivore. There are people who dirty nature, by throwing rubbish into the rivers and oceans, without thinking of their terrible consequences. They throw plastics and substances which contaminate the water. Fish, turtles, dolphins, whales, sharks and many more animals die every day because of contamination.

Water is a source of life; we must look after it and protect it.

Peacocks are large, colourful birds. Females are called peahens, and their babies are called peachicks. Peacocks eat insects, plants, fruit, seeds, ants, flies, snakes and amphibians. They live in forests, farmland, bushland and other warm regions. Peacocks live in many Asian countries, they are dominant in India, Sri Lanka and Myanmar. Their bodies are covered with brown feathers. Males have an enlongated tail with impressive blue and greenish feathers. Peacocks are highly social and territorial birds.&nbsp;
