ABOUT PANDAS
This is a panda. It is a hairy placental mammal. It is big. It is black and white. It lives in China.
It eats bamboo leaves so it is a herbivore. It slowly climbs trees. It lives in the forest. It is an endangered animal.

A STRANGE MAMMAL: THE DINGO
A very unusual mammal is dingo. It lives in Australia. It eats birds, reptiles, sheep, kangaroos and rabbits. Its weight is about 20 kg. It is very fast: it runs at 70 km/h. Its fur is orange with white spots.

THE PLATYPUS
The platypus is a very unsual Australian animal.
It lives in creeks, rivers and streams. It has thick brown waterproof fur. It has webbed feet and a wide flat tail.
It  has a duck bill that it uses to find food underwater.
Platypus eats worms,  shrimps and insects. It can stay underwater for 2 minutes. 
The platypus sleeps 14 hours a day. 
It is active at night.
The platypus is an egg-laying mammal. It lays its eggs in burrows on the river bank. The babies suck milk from their mother's skin. It lives for about 12/twelve years.

The platypus is on one side of the 20 cent coin. 
It  is an endangered animal.
The platypus was a mascot in the Sydney Olympic Games in 2000.

Honey badger
The honey badger is a mustelid. It lives in Africa, in some regions of the Middle East and in the Indian peninsula.
It lives in the savannah and in the forest, where it feeds on every other animal and plant species that can enter its stomach ... even if its absolute favourite is honey, what a surprise!
