What did Christians believe?
Christians believed that Jesus was the son of god. They also believed that god was the one true god unlike the pagans who believed in mutiple gods.
How do Christians practice their beliefs?
In olden and modern times it is customary for someone that is Christian on Sunday to go to Church because Sunday for Christians is the lord's day of rest. Also in olden times baptism was very sacred and quite commonplace because the Roman Empire was in decline and it led people to belief in the more 1 god type religion that the Christians were following.
How did Christianity spread throughout the Roman Empire?
Christianity was able to spread throughout the Roman Empire because it was spread by the preachers of Peter and Paul who made multiple journeys around the Empire to preach and talk about how great Christianity was. Paul himself was originally a devote Pagan but switched to Christianity and made three long journeys around the empire so that he could spread the grandeur of the religion. and as the Roman Empire started it's decline the prospect of Christianity started to attract more people. It was also highly pushed by the Emperor Constantine who was the first emperor who really liked or didn't try to push back against Christianity.
How did Christianity change the Roman Empire? Why would an emperor use a belief to help them govern?
Christianity was able to change the Roman Empire because it saw it shift from the Emperor being seen as a god to there is only one god, this took power away from the Emperor since he was no longer seen as divine. An Emperor would use Christianity to help them govern because back then towards the end of the empire it would be fairly common for a Emperor to be disposed of. Being a Christian Emperor would allow the Emperor to have a strong base of support in the Empire since towards the end of empire's history more and more were converting to Christianity to escape the problems of the empire.
