This picture represents July. As it is today, the medieval July was also the moth of the harvest. The picture shows a man harvesting wheat on the field by the watermill.&nbsp;💦💦💦

Watermills “meline” in Ivanec were powered by water of the rapid mountain stream called Bistrica 💦💦💦

The prey hunting We know that prehistorical people were hunting for food, however, the medieval people were also hunting for fun or as a prelude for war campaigns. The spear, bow and arrow were the main weapons, and the most hunted animals were roe deer and rabbits, but also some type of birds. The hunt as a sport is popular even today, and it does not differ a lot from the medieval one. The main difference is type of weapon used by the hunters.&nbsp;

Outcomes – the pupils will be able to: -&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;analyse pictorial historical sources -&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;explain the meaning of a breviary or a liturgy of hours -&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;describe medieval economy emphasising the field of homeland – usage of renewable energy sources (water) from the medieval period until today&nbsp;💦💦💦

I have demonstrated the end of June. A peasant is bringing flour in sacks to a watermill or “melin”.&nbsp;💦💦💦&nbsp;&nbsp;

People weeding and hoeing potatoes, ploughing the field with the help of oxcarts, drying hay and grow grapes is on display.&nbsp;

Based upon the illustrated medieval handwritten breviaries, 6th grade pupils made a display of medieval labours throughout the period of 12 months. &nbsp; The individual illustrated displays were implemented with short descriptions. The book also contains the research results of one of the Ivanec’s watermills, owned by the Friščić family.
