The Northwest trek is a is half a nature reserve and half a rescue center where they keep and take care of the injured animals that can’t go back into the wild. On the train we took we saw mallard ducks, bisons horned sheep and elk. It was an amazing experience. I can’t wait to bring my family.

Columbia River Maritime Museum First Nations Section

The fist nations in the area were the Chinook’s. The Chinookan people have inhabited the lower Columbia region for thousands of years, Long before European contact they were part of an extensive inter-tribal trade network along the river and coast.
