They are on the endangered species list. They were introduced in 1998 in Arizona and New Mexico with 11 wolves. Now 196 wolves roam over 14,000 square miles in the mountains of Eastern Arizona and New Mexico. When the population sustains to 320 for 8 years the will be removed from the endangered species list. They prey on elk, deer, javelina, small animals and livestock. Their jaw power could equal about 1,500 pounds per square inch. They weigh 50-90 pounds and are 25-32 inches tall at shoulder and 5-6 feet long from tail tip to the nose. They usually have 4-7 pups in a litter. They run at speeds of 36-38 miles per hour and run in packs of 4-8.

What is unique about a katydid? Katydids are&nbsp;medium-sized to large insects. They are usually green, sometimes with brown markings. They have a thick body, usually taller than it is wide, and long thing legs. The hind legs are longer than the front or middle legs, and are often used for jumping. In the group of large insects that are eaten by a variety of predators including&nbsp;bats, monkeys, rodents, birds, lizards, and amphibians&nbsp;. The life of a Katydid is usually a short one—most live for only about a year or less. Usually, only the eggs of a Katydid are able to survive the winter although, in tropical areas, some adult species are able to live for several years.

A desert locust swarm can be 460 square miles in size and pack between 40 and 80 million locusts into less than half a square mile. Each locust can eat its weight in plants each day, so a swarm of such size would eat 423 million pounds of plants every day. A Desert Locust lives a total of about&nbsp;three to five months&nbsp;although this is extremely variable and depends mostly on weather and ecological conditions. The life cycle comprises three stages: egg, hopper and adult. Locust swarms fly with the wind at roughly the speed of the wind. They can cover from&nbsp;100 to 200 km (62 to 124 mi) in a day, and fly up to about 2,000 meters (6,600 ft) above sea level (the temperature becomes too cold at higher altitudes).

Grasshopper eat a lot of different things like grass, small bugs like aphids, and plants. Grasshoppers are foodaholics, eating not just during the day but also at night. If you are wondering when they take out time for the other basic necessity called sleep, well&nbsp;they do sleep, but just for a little while at night!

When a female grasshopper lays her eggs she bury her eggs in soft patches of dirt. Soon baby grasshoppers dig there way out of the dirt. The grasshopper is a flying species that belongs to the order Orthoptera and class Insecta and it has a lifespan of&nbsp;one year. Grasshoppers replicate in large numbers. Male and female grasshoppers mate as summer changes to autumn.

This is one of the grasshoppers we see daily in  Arizona and this grasshoppers blends in with dead leaf's, bark, trees, rocks, and sticks that's were it gets it color.

Grasshoppers are interesting insects. Grasshoppers have spikes on there legs so they can damage birds, other bugs  and more also they use there powerful legs to jump there way out of danger.

These small foxes have some useful adaptations for living in the icy Arctic. Their thick fur coat keeps the fox’s body at a toasty 104°F. Their long, fluffy tails act like a blanket, keeping the fox warm when it wraps the tail around its body to sleep. Their feet also have a layer of thick fur, like built-in snow boots. This helps muffle an arctic fox’s footsteps, making it harder for prey to hear them. And their white coats make it difficult for predators such as&nbsp;wolves,&nbsp;polar bears, and golden eagles to spot them among the ice and snow. When it’s not trying to keep warm or avoid predators, an arctic fox is on the hunt for food. They prefer to eat small rodents called lemmings, but when times are tough they’ll eat whatever they can find: insects, berries, and even the droppings of other animals. Sometimes an arctic fox will follow a polar bear on a hunting trip and eat the bear’s leftovers. If a fox can’t find food, or if the weather gets really bad, it can dig a snow den and hunker down for up to two weeks.

Tigers are very sweet. but, when they see their prey they are off trying to catch their prey.

This is a snow tiger it blends in in the winter because of it color is white and so is the snow so it blends in.

Giant pandas have pseudo-thumbs as well but for different reasons. This is an example of "convergent evolution" which is when two unrelated animals faced with similar circumstances evolve to look similar. In this case, the red panda's false thumb evolved to help it climb trees, and only later became adapted for the bamboo diet, while giant pandas evolved this virtually identical feature because of their bamboo diet.

All About a Japanese Macaque

The Japanese macaque is a Japanese animal with soft white fur, and a pink face. They live on three Japanese islands; Honshu, Shikoku, and Kyushu.

Another name for a Japanese Macaque is a snow monkey. They are adapted to living in the cold unlike other primates. Macaques make different sounds for different situations, such as: mating, defense, warning, and fighting. Many other primates swing around trees and just play around all day. However, Japanese macaques are said to be more calm. But when they are younger, they are known to play with rocks and swing around trees, they become more mature as they grow. An interesting fact is that that macaques are very good swimmers. In fact, they have been reported to be able to swim a distance of more than half a kilometer. Their lifespans are reported to be longer than other primates (female 32 years and male 28 years). They can't see too many colors though, only black, white, and grey. To stay warm, they hug other fellow macaques.

Red pandas have diffrent nicknames like... One of their nicknames is "red bear-cat" though many of the similarities have to do with the mama-panda-baby-panda relationship. Their babies are called cubs (like bears) which are typically born in June through September in the wild and mainly stay in their dens for the first three months. Cubs use high-pitched whistles to get their mom’s attention when they are hungry. Like a cat, red panda moms use their tongues to keep their babies clean, and to keep them safe, she will carry her cubs in her mouth, by the neck (again, like cats and other carnivores), and while they curl into a ball to help with transport.

Ringtail Cats are omnivores which means they will eat just about anything if it is the right size. Some of their food choices are fruit, insects, lizards, snakes, small mammals such as mice, woodrat's, squirrels, as well as birds and bird eggs

The Ringtail cat is a mammal of the raccoon family native to arid regions of North America. It is widely distributed and well adapted to disturbed areas.

The Goliath Bird Eater Tarantula does not eat birds, well sometimes. The tarantula has hairs in the back that shoot out causing damage or irritation to the eyes of an animal or human.

The Tarantula can bite, but only when they feel threatened or scared. People may think they are scary, gross or strange, but they are kind spiders. If you press on the back of a Tarantula it will bite to protect itself. They don't want to hurt you; tarantulas are actually more scared of you then you are to them.

Eagles are predators to many different animals they eat meat. 

Sometimes Eagles even steal from other eagles. Blackbear they like to eat equals eggs. 

Ringtail Cats are excellent climbers capable of ascending vertical walls, trees, rocky cliffs and even cacti. They can rotate their hind feet 180 degrees, giving them a good grip for descending those same structures. They have excellent eyesight as well as hearing, both helpful adaptations for a nocturnal animal.
