‘I never wanted to go back to that Island again’ – said Jim Hawkins.
In the meantime on the Island:
Silver came back to the Island. He couldn’t live anywhere else. He met his friends there. They were pirates too. They stayed on the Island. John Long Silver joined them.
‘I’m getting thirsty. There is no fresh water left.’ – said the first pirate.
‘Oh, I’m hungry!’ – said the second one.
‘In addition to that we have no place to sleep. I feel horrible!’ – the third one complained.
‘Let’s go to the jungle and hunt a few animals.’
‘All right. I’ll bring some fresh water.’
‘ I’m going to find some food.’
‘And I’ll stay here on the beach to keep the fire’ – said John Long Silver.

Suddenly some men came out of the trees and attacked two of the pirates. They wanted the pirates’ guns and gunpowder.
They were the natives. They took the pirates to their village and they tied them to the old tree and asked them a lot of questions:
‘Who are you?’
‘Where are you from?’
‘What are you looking for?’
But the pirates were afraid of the villagers and they didn’t answer the questions.

In the same time a Great Chief came back from the
hunting. He was the most important person on the Island.
Silver and the other pirate managed to save their friends.
The fight between the villagers and the pirates started. They fought for control of the Island.

Suddenly something happened. The villagers noticed a herd of monkeys. The animals seemed to be sick.
The villagers were in despair because they treated the monkeys like holy animals, their best friends and defenders. But that day the monkeys didn’t want to fight. They felt dizzy.
The Great Chief asked Silver and the three pirates for help.
‘Do you have any medicine?’ – asked the Great Chief.
‘We will help you for food and peace’.

Silver and the Chief prepared a kind of mixture made of herbs and quinine. They gave the medicine to the monkeys and soon poor animals felt better.
The pirates and the villagers became friends.
The pirates lived in Ben Gunn’s house and they got on well with the villagers. They didn’t want to fight again.
