This shorty story is based on a young girl Eva who loves to play soccer. Eva learns the importance of using timetables.

What's The Time? It's Game Time

Eva thoroughly read the schedule and noticed that there were 					30 minute intervals 					15 minute intervals 					10 minute intervals between the time slots.

Eva quickly realised it was a schedule for the match today. The schedule read:

Time									Event 12:00									Arrive at St. Loman’s Pitch 12:30									Jerseys and football boots on 12:45									Warm up on Pitch 2 13:00									Photo with local photographer 13:15									Captain goes for the coin toss 13:20									Captain has final words with the team 13:30									Game commences

Eva and Dad's team won the game! They were both ecstatic. When the team went out for their celebratory meal, Eva asked Dad 'do you think having the timetable made a difference, Dad?' Dad replied ' 100% yes, without the timetable I would not have been able to prioritise all the minor details which are just as important as the actual playing of the game'. Eva thought about what Dad had said and decided that she would try out making her own timetable for their next game.

It was a sunny Saturday morning. Dad was in the kitchen making himself some breakfast. Today was the most important day ever for both Dad and Eva. Today is the Meath U13's Girls Soccer Final 2022. Dad coaches the team and Eva plays on the team. Dad and Eva both share a love for soccer. Dad woke up extra early to make sure both himself and Eva were ready for the day!

Eva jumped out of bed as fast as she could and ran downstairs. Both Eva and Dad munched their breakfast. Eva noticed that Dad was very focused on a sheet of paper that was lying in front of him. When Dad got up to go to the bathroom, Eva scampered across the kitchen to read this sheet of paper. 

At a quick glance, Eva could see lines, words and time slots. She wondered what it could be ..
