Once there was a little flower with an extraordinary petal, her name was Sunny. Sunny has one brown petal but, the rest of her petals are as yellow as sunshine. She lives in the garden with her mother. In the garden there lived other flowers and plants. But, you know who also lived in the garden, Jackal. Sunny doesn’t like Jackal very much because Jackal is very mean to Sunny. Jackal’s petals are red like cherries.
“ I wish I had petals as beautiful as Jackal’s,” Sunny thought to herself.

Sunny just wanted to be treated equally and not get bullied by jackal and her friends, who were as mean as angry rhinoceros.

She would feel upset and lonely because the other flowers would say rude stuff such as...

“Your petal is as brown as dirt”

This made Sunny’s eyes watery. Sunny couldn’t hold her tears in, she ran away from Jackal and the others.

She slowly drooped down and sat, as her tears came rushing down like a waterfall. Sunny heard nothing but Jackal laughing at Sunny, but then she heard something, a faint noise as if a little voice inside her head said
“Don’t cry little one.”Sunny looked down do see a green caterpillar, as green as a lime.
“Hello,” said the caterpillar. “I see that you are crying, why?” the caterpillar asked.
“Someone was being mean to me!” Sunny sobbed.
“Why do you let them bring you down?” Asked the caterpillar “You have a choice you know! Just let that someone know that they are hurting you, stand up for yourself!” said the caterpillar
Sunny wiped her tears away and said “Yes, that’s a good idea!”

Sunny took the wise advice the green caterpillar gave her, which gave her enough courage to go and talk to Jackal, so she stood up ready to confront jackal. Sunny then thought the green caterpillar is as wise as an owl.
“Could you come with me?” asked Sunny
The caterpillar replied “If you want me to come along with you then i will.”
Sunny then said with a bit of relief “Thank you!”

Sunny then said “but what if she doesn’t listen, what if-”
Then the caterpillar cut her off and said “but that won’t happen i’m sure of it,” This made Sunny feel better, so Sunny trotted over like a horse to go talk to Jackal.

She walks up to Jackal and the bullies with the caterpillars advice in her head. Sunny is face to face with Jackal, Sunny is terrified, as scared as if a tiger was going to talk to a tiger. but she knows that it’s worth a try.
“I am very upset,” Sunny said. “You have been calling me names and making fun of me and that is not ok!” Sunny blurted. “I was just crying because of you,”

“You have a choice you know! Just let that someone know that they are hurting you, stand up for yourself!”
