Our aim for your child by the time they leave Mount Carmel.
Pupils will be taught to develop their techniques, including their control and their use of materials, with creativity, experimentation and an increasing awareness of different kinds of art, craft and design.
Pupils will be taught:
to create sketch books to record their observations and use them to review and revisit ideas
to improve their mastery of art and design techniques, including drawing, painting and sculpture with a range of materials [for example, pencil, charcoal, paint, clay]
about great artists, architects and designers in history, describing the differences and similarities between different practices and disciplines, and making links to their own work.

For children to go on a shape hunt and look at different shapes. Draw an observational drawing of a drinks can for perspective.
Using wire create an eel, tilapia, mullet or a catfish (Fish found in the Nile) with a focus on shading.

through printing. To draw the face of The Iron Man and reflect it around the sheet. Children to imprint texture and pattern to create an outfit for the Iron Man.
