THE PROJECT
The project aimed at combining Active Citizenship and Creative Arts and promoting the four Cs of modern learning and teaching: collaboration, communication, creativity and critical thinking. Activities have been designed with a focus on learner-centred methodologies such as PBL and Active Learning. Starting from a main driving question, “How can creative arts change the world?”, students researched and reflected on visual artists and musicians who have been and/or are active campaigners for human rights and sustainability. eTwinners have become “activartists” themselves to produce creative artifacts or artistic performances to raise awareness about global issues.
eSafety
At the beginning of the project, eTwinners were asked to watch a video on copyright and Creative Commons licences and agreed on a set of netiquette rules.
In February eTwinners contributed to Safer Internet Day events by brainstorming on their worst fear online and what they usually do to stay safe on the Net.
ARTSY INTRODUCTIONS
Students got to know each other with a classic introduction on Padlet where they could read about each other's personality and interests.
FORUM Thread on Arts & Artists
We also asked our eTwinners about their tastes and preferences as regards creative arts and artists. They expressed their opinions and interacted in the forum. Here is a word cloud with their favourite arts.
LOGO CREATION & VOTE
eTwinners created lots of amazing project logos which were then voted both on a national and international level.
