Shai and Shoko's
Whimsywood Adventure
By Ron Dior
The Adventure Begins
I am pleased to present the adventures of Shai and Shoko, which I have had the pleasure of crafting. This is the first of many exciting journeys that they will embark on. While these stories are primarily geared towards children ages 1-8, they can be enjoyed and appreciated by audiences of all ages.

As you follow along on their adventures, you may find that you recognize certain characteristics of Shai and Shoko in those of your loved ones. They are inquisitive, funny, and at times, even a bit afraid. You may even see similarities in yourself.

I am delighted that you have chosen to join us on this journey, and I hope that you will come to know and love Shai and Shoko as much as I do.

Enjoy the adventure!

Shai was a curious little boy with a wild imagination. He loved to dream of faraway lands, and think about all the encounters he might find there. Shai was never alone - because his loyal dog Shoko was always by his side. Wherever Shai was, Shoko was sure to be near by. The inseparable duo were always eager for a new adventure and never knew where their next journey would lead them.

One day, Shai and Shoko were having fun playing catch with a shiny red ball. Shai noticed something, Shoko looked bored! "Oh no!" thought Shai. "It's time for another exciting adventure in a faraway land!" With a twinkle in his eye, Shai quickly packed a bag with some yummy snacks and Shoko's tail wagged excitedly. He couldn't wait to see what kind of fun and wonder they might find together in the unknown journey ahead.

As Shai and Shoko set out on their journey, they were amazed by the wondrous creatures they met. Each one had a unique and special feature. The first character they came across was a friendly duck named Daisy. Daisy was a quirky duck, with fluffy round feathers, and a long yellow bill. She was a bit of an oddball and always had to match her clothes perfectly. After some time, Daisy spoke about a wise Owl that she insisted Shai and Shoko meet!

Daisy led Shai and Shoko through the forest to a big old oak tree. In the tree sat a wise old owl named Aldo. Aldo had a unique habit of speaking backwards, which always made Shai and Shoko giggle. "gnizama era uoy" Aldo said as they arrived, which in his backwards language meant "You are amazing!"Aldo told them about a fantastic place called Whimsywood, where everything was "gnizama", um amazing! Shai and Shoko were soooo excited to go there.

Shai and Shoko thanked Aldo and set off towards Whimsywood. Along the way they encountered two pink rabbit twins. The twins led them through a dense brightly colored forest! The twin rabbits hopped along beside them, one saying, "Hurry up and stay close to us!" while the other said, "No need to hurry, we have all the time in the world!" They argued back and forth, but Shai and Shoko didn't even notice because they were too busy taking in all of the amazing sights around them.

Shai and Shoko were having so much fun, they didn't even realize how far they had come. When they finally stopped and looked around, the trees were different shades of pink, purple, and blue, and the flowers were all different shapes and sizes. They saw butterflies with wings the size of umbrellas, and bees the size of their thumbs. They even came across a group of talking caterpillars who sang them a song about the beauty of the forest.

As they continued on their journey, Shai and Shoko came across a clearing in the forest. In the center of the clearing stood a grand castle made of candy! Shai and Shoko couldn't believe their eyes. They approached the castle, and two huge gingerbread men welcomed them and offered a tour of the castle. Shai and Shoko were so excited to explore the castle and try all the different sweets. This adventure was just getting better and better!

As they were leaving the castle, they heard a strange noise coming from the nearby bushes. Curious, they went to investigate and found a group of mischievous gummy bears playing in the bushes. They were different colors and shapes! The gummy bears were having so much fun, they invited Shai and Shoko to join in on their game. Shai and Shoko played so hard and laughed so much that their bellies began to hurt.
