Welcome to Forefield Community Infant & Nursery School. Firstly we would like to thank you for choosing Forefield for your child and entrusting us to provide a fantastic start to your child's education.

We would normally invite you and your child into school to meet your teacher and have a look around what will be your new classroom in September. However unfortunately we can't do that right now as it is more important that you and your family stay safe.

We have put together this book to show you around our school and in particular the Reception classrooms / corridor and some other areas you will get to know well next year. You can use this book to familiarise yourself with our school until it is safe for you to come and visit us in person.

We can't wait to meet you all!
This is the entrance gate from Forefield Lane. This is the gate you will use to come onto the Reception playground in the mornings when you come to school and the gate your grown up's will use to come and collect you. Grown up's can also use the gate on Sefton View and walk around the edge of the playground to the gate.
This is the middle gate which leads directly onto the Reception playground. Once you are all settled into the routine of school (usually around Oct half term) you will be greeted at this gate by our Teaching Assistants, say good bye to grown ups and come into the school building where your teachers will be waiting to greet you.
Reception Learning Garden
Reception Learning Garden
Our Reception Learning Garden is an exciting place for us all and we enjoy an hour outside each day. Each of the sheds on our playground are full of resources that together we will use to learn and develop.

We also have a large trim trail to help us develop our physical skills and a natural area in which we grow different plants and encourage wildlife to live so we can watch it grow.
Forest School
We are very lucky to have our own Forest School at Forefield. This is a fairly new development for us and our forest school areas are still growing. We have two sites on our school field - one near the entrance gates and one at the very bottom of the field.

Next year you will be able to take part in some Forest School sessions with Mrs Wolfarth who is our Forest School lead.
