The Learning Center is essential to campus life because it a resource to students struggling in classes or wanting additional help to succeed. This resource allows students to get a one-on-one tutoring experience. This is done through having students who have taken and passed the class taking the opportunity to tutor students currently in that class. There is no grade requirement to be tutored at the Learning Center however, there is a requirement for being a tutor which is to pass the class with an A and be able to assist those who you tutor. In addition to doing one-on-one tutoring they also offer group tutoring. With this there are set times for the students to meet in the group. There is typically 1-2 tutors and as many students that fill the available slots. With this option sometimes they are broken into groups to work or it is similar to a lecture where you also get more time to ask questions and receive help. It is scheduled through the Ball State website and can be conducted on zoom or in person for the one-on-one and group tutoring sessions.
