Thought Bubble
Test to see which material is the best insulator.
(Wool, Felt or bubble wrap)
Speech Bubble
Equipment used:
3 plastic cups,
water,
A kettle,
Bubble wrap,
Felt,
Wool,
Thermometer.

Winner!
Method:
  1. Wrapped each cup with the different materials (wool, felt, bubble wrap).
  2. Boiled the kettle with water.
  3. Poured equal amounts of boiled water into the 3 cups.
  4. Recorded the temperature.
  5. Leave for 5 minutes.
  6. Record temperature again to find out best insulator and worst insulator.
Conclusion
Through our investigation we found out wool was the best insulator and retained the most heat.
We found out bubble wrap was a close second.
However we realized that felt was not a good insulator at all and was poor at retaining heat.
Winner!
Loser!
