Welcome to our Autumn Term Newsletter. Hopefully this will tell you a bit more about all the exciting things that have been happening at Crowan this term and also give you information about what is planned to happen next term.
Please remember, I am on the gate every day in the morning and the afternoon so you can always catch me if there is anything that you would like to talk to me about.
We are working hard to make Crowan the best school that it can be and that involves everyone working together to achieve this. It is an absolute privilege to be head of school in such a lovely school.
I would like to say thank you to everyone at Crowan (staff, parents and children) for making me feel so welcome this term. I am really looking forward to the rest of the year and what we can achieve with these fantastic children.
Hope you enjoy reading our information Miss Harris
Early Years Foundation Stage
Mrs Greenaway and Mrs Cleave have been working hard to support Releath with starting school and Aspire's EYFS lead was impressed with the flying start that these children have made to their learning journey at Crowan.
After Christmas the EYFS team are going to continue their development of the outside area, so that the provision for the children is just as good outside as it is inside. They are starting with reviving the mud kitchen.....
Parents have been incredibly supportive of all the events that we have had this term and we have raised significant amounts of money for charity. These are also days that the children remember and look back on with fondness.
Next term we will continue to plan events for the children that help them to learn about supporting people who are less fortunate than they are, but also exciting events to launch the different topics they will be learning about.
We have worked hard on improving the school environment so it is warm and welcoming for all children. We have also adapted some areas to make them more purposeful.
We haven't stopped yet... we are going to continue painting, with all the classrooms and the hall needing a refresh....
And fencing will be going up all around the site to secure the site and make it safer for the children.
Clubs and activities
We are very fortunate that the staff at Crowan are willing to volunteer to run after school clubs so that children get the opportunity for new experiences without parents being required to pay for it!
We will be offering another range of clubs in the Spring Term for children to enjoy. Look out after the holidays for information regarding the new clubs we will be running...
