What Are The Christian Beliefs?

Christians believe in one god. This religion is rooted from Judaism with the main difference being the fact that Christianity is much less strict than some versions of Judaism and Christianity is based on the works of Jesus Christ and his 12 disciples. The preached to the Romans and spread their religions., Christians believed in God, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost. They believe that everybody should seek peace and if you have believed in the faith would will end in heaven and have a peaceful death. This religion takes many beliefs from Judaism such as the ten commandments and its beliefs on peace. It also follows the preachings of christ as the son of god. Most of the preachings come from the Holy text of christianity the Bible and its 39 books

The Bible

The bible is the scared text of Christianity. It is written by many different authors and follows the paths of holy figures and has the teachings of God and Jesus. It is split into two sections, The Old testament and the new testament. The old testament focuses on the things that happened before christ and the paths of people like Abraham and Moses. The old testament has a total of 39 books while the knew testament has has 27. The books in the old testament are genesis exodus Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Joshua, judges, ruth, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, first kings, seconds kings, first chronicles, seconds chronicles, Ezra, nehemiah, Tobit, jodith, esther, first and second maccabees, job, psamls, proverbs, ecclesiastes, song of songs, wisdom ecclesiatsticus, isaiah jeremiah, lamentations, baruch, ezekiel, daniel, hosea, joel, amos, obadiah, jonah, micah, nahum, habakkuk, zephaniah, haggai, zechariah, and malachi. The New testament has 27 books and follows the path of Jesus. This section starts with the book of Matthew and ends with Revelations.

How do Christians Practice Their Beliefs?

Christians practice their beliefs by praying They also attend special ceremonies on special holidays like Easter and Christmas. Lastly, They attend church every Sunday where they worship. They also preach the Bibles lessons and spread peace and friendship to people. The spend their time worshiping Jesus and the Holy Trinity. Their main holidays are Ash Wednesday, Easter, Good Friday, Lent, Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Pentecost, Advent, and Christmas.

How did Christianity Spread?

It spread by the disciples of Christ preach to the Jews and gentiles and converting them to Christianity. One of the main people that helped the spread of Christianity was Paul. He went on 3 long journeys spreading Christianity. He was shipwrecked three times and still continued. He was a Roman citizen, so it was easier for people to list to him since they were the same ethnicity and went through the same experiences. The spread was briefly halted by the prosecution by the Roman officials. Then when a roman emperor endorsed Christianity, Christianity spread really fast through the empire. When Paganism was banned it Rome, the empire served as a way for the religion to spread. Christianity eventually lead to the fall of the Roman Empire because as more people turned into Christianity, It took power away from the Roman Empire and put more faith into the religion. As the empires became more and more corrupt they persecuted the Christians and lead to the fall. Also, it took the power away from the government.

Why would a government use Christianity?

An emperor would use Christianity to govern the empire because it preached peaceful laws and help the emperor keep the people from fighting. It allowed the people to have enough freedom that they would not riot and let the government stay in power. The religion took some of the power away from the government because it already had set rules and removed the need for a government. It also preached peace while Rome had a militaristic society. It changed the empire by making it not as militaristic and keeping peace. It turned the people away from the government and following the religion. It turned the roman society to Christianity. It also separated the church and the state while pagan was deeply incorporated into the government before.
