As Mrs. Stalter read the book with the class, she asked them "What do you think about Elmer? Have you ever felt different from your friends like Elmer does?" One girl raises her hand and shares, "I feel different like Elmer because my hair is red." Another boy raises his hand and shares, "I feel different because I like to draw at recess instead of play kickball with my friends".
