SEPARATE (SORT) THE WASTE-TIPS, RECYCLING YARDS

Composting is done gradually and under conditions.An important role is played by microorganisms that biologically decompose waste into simpler parts that then turn into humus compounds

At home,twigs,grass,garden debris,straw,fruits,vegetables,newspapers,cardboard,kitchen scraps can be composted...

To obtain good compost,good"raw materials" must be provided.This means that sufficient nitrongen-rich material( such as green leaves,fresh grass,green parts of plants)should be provided,while ensuring a sufficient amont of carbon(dry leaves,sawdust,straw,hay branches,cardboard...)

- facilities where you can drop off unwanted items and materials for reuseing and recycling - goal of recycling yard is to reduce the volume of waste sent to landfills, preserve natural resources, reduce costs, reduce pollution and ultimately reduce our carbon footprint - paper goes in the blue bin, glass in the green bin and plastic in the yellow bin

Prevent waste- tips on how to reduce waste

Reduce - minimize the amount of waste you are producing; avoid using plastic bags and plastic cups. Try replacing all of the single-use packaging materials and instead use the reusable ones.

Reuse - don't throw away old stuff you think you don't need. Use them for something else, for example you can use an old mug as a pot for plants and flowers.

Recycle - set up different trash bins for paper, plastic and glass. Recycling will allow things to not become waste, but to be used many more times.

It is important that we recycle in order to reduce the amount of waste

RECIKLIRANJE I ZANIMLJIVOST O RECIKLIRANJU

A lot of trash = a lot of problems

Average person produces 2kg of waste every day. It is extremly important to recycle, to reduce waste. It costs a lot of resources, time and energy to produce new products.

Recyclable materials are cardboard, paper... Various plastic products, glass and metal containers, and that is not all.

Rule 3R Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Reduce unnecessary consumption and thus prevent the emergence of a new generation of waste. Reuse every item you can, or pass it on to a person or institution that can take advantage of it. Recycle what remains as waste, and throw in the trash only what we can't recycle.

Waste is something we plan to throw away because we no longer need them, but they can be reused or recycled.

SORTING INTO CONTAINERS OF DIFFERENT COLORS

In blue should be disposed of: -notebooks, newspapers,magazines,brochures...

In brown containers should be disposed of: -kitchen waste(leftovers and peels of fruits and vegetables...

In ywllow containers should be disposed of: -bottles of distilled,cleaning and washing agents...

In green containers should be disposed of: -glass packaging(glass bottles...)

Garbage is waste that is handled inappropriately or incorrectly. Mixing different types of waste creates garbage that is difficult and only partly recyclable at high cost.
