Are you interested in the Boston Tea Party also known as Tea Act, a cause of the war? I will tell you all about it! The Tea Act started at 1773. The Colonists are taking the tea that the British made. The British want them to pay a lot of taxes for the tea. They are very greedy. The Colonists don't agree on paying this much taxes. So, instead they throw their tea in the sea! England got so furious! They closed the harbor to punish the Colonists. No tea for them until they pay their taxes! The money back then was different. The tea was very very expensive. If the Tea Act was happening right now, it would cost about 7.1 Million dollars!!! There were only about 342 crates of tea! During this war no one was injured or killed.

The Colonists could just make their own tea. They do not need to throw the tea that England made in the sea. The tea on the ship was green tea. The Colonists can use Camellia sinensis and boil water to make their own green tea. It was the Colonists own fault that the Boston Harbor was closed.
