Lola and the Lost Dinosaur

The baby dinosaur was getting hungry. Lola wasn’t sure what a baby dinosaur would eat. Then they came across another dinosaur family who were all sat eating some ferns nearby. “Maybe you should try eating some leaves too,” Lola said to the baby dinosaur. So the baby dinosaur joined the new dinosaur family in eating the ferns. “Yum yum,” said baby dinosaur, “these are delicious!” “Are you my family?” he asked them. “No, we are Parasaurolophus, we have a crest on our head and we walk on two feet not four like you.” Lola and the baby dinosaur went on their way but the baby dinosaur was feeling sad. Was he ever going to find his family?&nbsp;

They set off on their journey. Before they got far they stumbled across a roaring river. “How are we going to get across there!” exclaimed Lola. ROAR! “What was that?” said Lola. She looked around and she saw a family of large dinosaurs. “Can you help us across this river?” asked Lola. “Sure we can,” stated the largest dinosaur.&nbsp;

They travelled across the river on the dinosaur’s back.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; “Are you my family?” asked the baby dinosaur. “No, we are Spinosaurus, we have sharp teeth and spines on our backs,” they said. “We don’t have a long neck and a smooth back like you.” So Lola and the baby dinosaur carried on their journey

Lola had stumbled into the late Jurassic period. She looked around and couldn't believe her eyes. Was that really a herd of Brachiosaurus in front of her ? The ground shook with an almighty tremble as the herd began to move away. Lola clung to a nearby tree to stop her falling over. As the dust settled Lola saw a large white egg looking thing in front of her. She moved closer and as she did the egg began to crack. Out of the egg popped a green scaly leg. Then another, quickly followed by two more! Next came a long scaly tail, a head and finally a body.&nbsp;

Lola asked the little dinosaur, “Where’s your Mummy and Daddy?” “I don’t know,” cried the dinosaur, “will you help me find them?” “Of course I will,” replied Lola. So off they went in search of the lost parents.&nbsp;

As Lola drifted off to sleep she still had dinosaurs on her mind. Before long she was in a deep sleep . It was then her mind wandered off into the time of the dinosaurs

One evening close to bedtime, at number three Cherry Lane Lola was settling down for bed. " Just one more story, please Mum!" moaned Lola "NO Lola. We've read enough for tonight, it's getting late." Lola wanted to read her favourite book just one more time . Can you guess what it was about.....? YES! Dinosaurs

Lola and the baby dinosaur stumbled deeper into the forest. Before long they heard some loud footsteps coming toward them. What could be making such a loud noise, they thought? Out from between the tall trees came a group of dinosaurs with really sharp teeth and claws and bright glaring eyes. Lola and the baby dinosaur were a bit scared. “Are you my family?” quivered the baby dinosaur. “No, we are Tyrannosaurus Rex, we don’t eat leaves like you, we eat meat.” Lola and the baby dinosaur thought it was probably a good idea if they moved on quickly

Lola was so happy that she had helped the baby dinosaur find his family. It made her start thinking about getting back to her own family. It had been fun in the land of the dinosaurs but it was nearly time to wake up Slowly Lola began to stir from her sleep. The sun was starting to shine through the curtains and soon her Mummy would be asking her to get ready for school. Lola thought fondly of the baby dinosaur and as she did she looked down. In her hands she was clutching a dinosaur teddy, and guess what it was a baby Brachiosaurus.&nbsp;&nbsp;
