The more things you will know.
The more that you learn,
The more places you'll go.

Children's book suppliers have generously made their digital collections available at no cost to families during this time.

This opportunity can help our students stay engaged in the art of reading with new books while they do not have access to classroom, school and public libraries.
*In your Cornerstone Library we try to provide students with materials that support the mission of Lakeway Christian Schools.

*The digital materials available in these free collections have not been chosen by us and this is not an endorsement of these companies and their collections.

*Many good books are available, however be aware that not all of the books in these collections reflect a biblical worldview.
Using Digital Books at Home

Book Review Resources for Parents
Picture books can easily be proofread to check for suitability. We also know our own childhood favorites. But we all need help with newer chapter books. Here are favorite resources used in our library to review and choose books.

Redeemed Reader publishes book reviews that rate the quality of the book as well as its compatibility with a Christian worldview. A reading level and considerations for the parent are provided. This site also has many extras such as book lists, reading challenges, and themed suggestions.
Common Sense Media assists parents and educators in using children’s digital media responsibly. Reviews include a book summary, suggested age, parent concerns, and suggestions to talk about. This resource provides valuable information when selecting books, movies, and video games.
2. Plugged In is published by Focus on the Family. Its main focus is movie, tv, and music reviews. While the book database is smaller than some, it is a valuable resource with a faith-based worldview.
Amazon - After the summary of the book scroll down to the comments and you will often find information that will help you make a choice.
