Holly the Honey Badger

Holly the honey badger lives in the grassland in the Tropical zone with very few trees. To live in the grassland, she must adapt. She has sharp claws for digging, a "Stink bomb" (where the honey badger is like a skunk and lets a terrible smell out) to keep predators away, and loose skin to whirl around and bite a predator. Lions and leopards love to eat honey badgers like Holly, and she has had some really close calls. Holly has quite an appetite. She really likes bee larvae in HONEY, small mammals, young reptiles, birds, and insects.

Holly's favorite animal to eat is a bird. "Yummy!" shouts Holly as she chases it down.

PREDATORS!!! SCARY!!!

Holly was just having a nice day, but then it got very stormy and it started to thunder and lightning. There was a flash of lightning, and it started a fire. It was spreading like crazy, and Holly had to run away. She kept running until she knew she lost the fire. When she looked around she was in the TUNDRA! She saw some polar bears playing and beautiful water. She was really cold and she realized that she was going to have to adapt to SURVIVE!

"Guess I'll HAVE to live here." To everyone watching this, please feel bad for our friend Holly the honey badger.

"MY HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Holly started adapting right away. After she was done adapting, she will tell you about her new adaptations. She got thicker fur to stay warm in the cold environment, the ability to swim and catch fish, and white fur to blend in and hide from predators. After these adaptations, she became friends with all of the animals, (except the fish because she likes to eat them) but her best friends were the polar bears. She thought the polar bears were nice and playful. Holly always thought that her favorite biome was the grassland biome. So Holly learned a very valuable lesson: never take other biomes for granted.

FISH!!! YUMMY!!!

"These guys are awesome!" shouts Holly.

Today, Holly ate all kinds of fish!!! She also played fun games with the seals.
