Land Acknowledgement:

I recognize that I am a visitor to this land and my ancestors that have traveled here from the United Kingdom a long time ago have used this land to live for centuries and I recognize that it is not our land. We mustn't forget that the land and waters that my ancestors have lived on for many centuries don’t belong to them or other colonizers and it is still unceded and still belongs to the Algonquin Anishinaabe (Awneeshee-naw-bay) peoples who have guarded and protected the land for centuries before us. I honor the Leaders and elders of all First Nations, Inuit, and Métis people who have contributed to the land and honored the land because of all of the gifts it has given them.

Land Acknowledgement:

I am grateful for the ability to contribute and give back to the world just like the Indigenous people have in their past and currently. I am aware of the extremely underserved exploitation by colonists but I am still learning about the true history of our country and learning how to reconcile. I recognize the greatness of the land that we live on because I am able to do the things I love like playing basketball. We must respect the land like we respect each other for it grants us the ability to farm, fish, and hunt to improve our communities as well as the ability to partake in activities with others peacefully such as basketball, hockey, and football

À cause de la protections et le don de la terre je peux participer à des activités avec vos amis et votre famille

dans un de les cercle j'ai designé la logo de la Tampa Bay Lightning parce que c'est mon équipe sportive préférée. Dans un autre des cercles, j'ai dessiné des personnes qui représentent ma famille et des amis qui sont importants pour moi. J'ai aussi dessiné un ballon de football et un ballon de basket car ce sont deux de mes sports préférés

Mon désigne d'un ours autochtones
