"The most potent weapon in the hands of the oppressor
is the mind of the oppressed." - Steve Biko Steve Biko, a prominent
anti-apartheid activist and leader of the Black Consciousness Movement in South Africa, left behind a legacy of powerful ideas and quotes that continue to inspire and challenge us today. One of his notable quotes is, "The most potent weapon in the hands of the oppressor is the mind of the oppressed." This quote highlights the importance of education and critical thinking in empowering individuals to challenge oppressive systems and strive for justice.

As a final year intermediate phase student teacher, it is crucial to embrace
this teaching philosophy and apply it in the classroom. The goal should be to create an environment that fosters critical thinking, encourages independent thought, and empowers students to question the status quo. As a developing teacher throughout the year, it is essential to recognize that education is not just about imparting knowledge but also about nurturing students' minds and empowering them to become active participants in their own learning process.
