One day in a small neighborhood lived a nice old lady who loved her grandchildren but couldn’t visit them because her grandchild was sick and she didn’t want to get herself sick. Because of this, the grandma, known as Linda, wanted to give her grandson a million hugs and kisses but knew she couldn’t so instead she thought that she could mail a package with an old photo of them together to make sure he wouldn't miss her. So she taped up the box and gave it to the mailman to send off to her grandson. This package was no ordinary package though, once it reached the mailman’s truck, it started to talk, It then read the street address and was determined its name was Boris, and then off they went down the road.
In the back of the truck, Boris looked around and saw many more packages, it seemed as if there were a million of them. As he looked around he met one’s eyes and the room became tense but the box gladly gave a smile and greeted himself,
“Hello, I’m Theodore, welcome to the back of the truck.”
Shyly, Boris replied, “Hi I’m Boris, You look pretty beaten up.”
Indeed he was, Theodore was rectangular and tall but had looked to have been squashed then kicked many times, like sardines in a tiny sardine can.

“Yes, that’s the biggest risk of being in this truck, the bumps and divots on the road are dangerous because the truck hits one, and boom you fly across to the other side,” Theodore added.
It was the biggest risked but Boris knew if he stuck together with the other boxes they might not get crushed and smashed to bits. Boris thought to himself the horrors of the owner’s eyes as his package was smashed and ripped. He tried not to think about it too hard because after all he was just a package and he couldn't write his fate.

Boris is very scared on its first trip, he does not want to be crushed like an ant so he tries to be careful to not get run over or dropped by anyone or anything. Boris does have friends by him though. He realizes he is not the only one there but there are 100s but to him, it looked like thousands. “They all seemed scared especially since one of them had already been crushed”. From outside of the truck came the sounds of squealing brakes and dense tarmac.
Boris ends up falling off the truck after going on a street that felt like there were millions of bumps and is left there all by himself, but this is no ordinary box, this box is one of the bravest boxes ever made. Even though Boris is lonely and scared. He knows that the right thing to do, and that is to try and find his owner even if it feels like they’re a billion miles apart.
