When you do a long division always do a box to divide the first number to the second number. In this lesson you will learn about percent. There are 5 and more types but this one is to find 1 or 10 of a number, You will learn this next year with Mrs. Mikols OR Mr. Fraser. So when you have three or four numbers You still put the decimal where it is supposed to be. For example 10% of 9400 you will put the decimal after the four like this: 94.00. If you have a 1% still put the decimal where it is supposed to be, for Example: 1% of 370 you put the decimal after the seven like this: 37.0. If you have one with three or two zeros still put the decimal. For Example: 10% of 1000 you'll put the decimal after the second zero Like this: 10.00. If you have a three digit number like 800 the decimal will go like this: 80.0 you will Learn this in 6th grade With Mrs. Mikols Or Mr. Fraser.
