Loading...My artifact is one of my bilingual students' work-in-progress Robots. His name is Zhajoni a name that my students came up with. My school has never had a robotics club and I was determined to start one, especially for my ELLs. The goal was to provide them with a platform where they could direct their creativity without the apprehensiveness of their language skills. Long story short, the project was successful and the club is thriving!
Loading...This semester has been eventful and quite fulfilling. I continuously collaborated with my Bilingual department mostly to strategize on vocabulary acquisition and conversational skills for our ELLs. I also had a chance to collaborate with other bilingual educators in Florida during a conference in November. All this has been fundamental in my professional growth and I will constantly be incorporating what I learned in my teaching approaches.
