FLORENCE NIGHTINGALE'S LIFE
SCRIPT
NARRATOR : Florence Nightingale was a nurse who saved many lives in the 19 th Century. She was born in1820 in Florence. She didn’t want to get married. She was an unusual young woman because she didn’t go out and she didn’t go to parties and finally get married.
DAD : Florence you can’t be a nurse.
FLORENCE: Why? I want help people
MUM :Your father's right.
FLORENCE : I don’t care! I want to be a nurse.
MARIE to Florence: Oh my dear friend,let’s go dancing ?
FLORENCE: Sorry Marie, I don't want to go dancing.
MUM and DAD: Ok Florence, but remember we saw you.
FLORENCE:I understand but I repeat: I want to be a nurse.
MARIE : Florence you have to listen to your parents!
FLORENCE: I am not interested , if you are my friend take my defense.
MARIE : Ok, I don't feel like arguing.
FLORENCE: Why? I want help people
MUM :Your father's right.
FLORENCE : I don’t care! I want to be a nurse.
MARIE to Florence: Oh my dear friend,let’s go dancing ?
FLORENCE: Sorry Marie, I don't want to go dancing.
MUM and DAD: Ok Florence, but remember we saw you.

NARRATOR : A month later Florence becomes a nurse,and goes to work in a hospital in Germany wounded soldiers await.
SOLDIER: Help me! Help me!
FLORENCE:What happened to you ?
SOLDIER: They hurt me.
FLORENCE: How do you feel ?
SOLDIER: I am sad and lonely.
FLORENCE: I’m sad for you , don’t worry you will go home
SOLDIER:I miss my family.
FLORENCE:Mee too.
NARRATOR: Over time Florence became a great nurse,and returned to Great Britain and Queen Victoria gave her important honors called: the Order of Merit and she was the first woman to review these honors . She is now remembered as the Lady with the Lamp . Florence died in 1910 in Mayfair in London .
SOLDIER: Help me! Help me!
FLORENCE:What happened to you ?
SOLDIER: They hurt me.
FLORENCE: How do you feel ?
