Session 8 Obj: To understand how the location of Mexico has helped them in response to the pandemic.

Do we ever appreciate enough of what we have? Do we take where we live for granted?

Session 4 and 5 Obj: To develop an understanding of traditions.

We learnt about the Fiesta and the different roles within the dance. We took it in turns at taking the roll of the bull.

Key question: Why is the Fiesta so important in Mexico?

Session 2 And 3 Obj: To be able to identify key parts of Mexican culture and compare them to our own.

How is the culture similar and different to ours?

We learnt about the Fiesta and listened to some Mexican music 

We described the music as energetic, fast paced and co-ordinated

Key question: What is Mexico without its culture?

Session 6 Obj: To understand how where Mexico is located affects the food and their culture.

Why is the food in Mexico mainly from crops?

We looked at the food in Mexico and found that although this has developed greatly over time the base of Mexican food is vegetables as they thrive in the hot climate. BC

We researched the type of food that Mexico was known for and we created our own menus. I can’t wait to try some of the food next! ZH

Key question: Why is food such an important part of Mexican culture?

Session 7 Obj: To identify the human geographical features

No We should never segregate anyone! Jesus tells us that we should love thy neighbour. He would never want some people to have everything and some people to have nothing. CV People can not help where they are born. That could have been any of us. AW

Yes because they are worried that their country doesn’t have enough resources. CG

Yes because it has reduced the crime rate in Mexico by 73% LH

Key question: What is it like to be on holiday in Mexico?

It would depend on where you went in Mexico as to what your holiday would be like. Cancun is popular with tourists
