The well-known program called “Cuarto Milenio” which does research about paranormal events came to this hospital to check if strange things really happened in here. Three people from the program and a medium come to the hospital at the midnight. They found marks on the floor of satanic rites. After that, they started filming with the camera and the medium, Mº Jose started to introduce herself to find something that&nbsp;could give any clue about the place. She felt nervous, anguished and she felt the presence of a sick person who died there. They decided to go out because it didn’t a safe place. Some years later, the crew decided to come back to Agramonte’s Sanatorium. In this case, three experts in the matter came. They put into the place many sensors of movement and&nbsp;started the investigation. One of them stayed in the passage and then they went go out of the sanatorium and they got into a car. This person stayed quiet to sit to try to see or listen to something paranormal but it didn’t result. Well, another member of the team started again the test with the difference that he had heard many steps around the place. The sensor started beeping and he tried to get some and he said: "if you have listened to me hit the wall’’ and a noise was heard at the moment. The camera went, so the presence of something paranormal in the sanatorium was confirmed. As we can see this place of relevance since it has a history that leads us to the present day through paranormal episodes and other presences. We talk about this place is located makes its visit extraordinary, the great natural surroundings it, not to mention the quietness of this place. THE CIPOTEGATO The Cipotegato is the most universal tradition of Tarazona and takes place every year on August 27th. The festival was declared of national interest in 2009. He is a hooded character from Tarazona, dressed as a harlequin in red, yellow and green colours. On the first day of Tarazona’s festivities, at noon, he leaves the Town Hall and bursts into the Spain square through a corridor opened among the crowd by friends and former Cipotegatos. Then the throng starts throwing tomatoes at him. Crossing the square, he is chased by hundreds of people making a city tour. When they return to the main square, Cipotegato climbs onto the sculpture erected in his honour and people start clapping and cheering him up, singing “ Cipote, Cipote..."

He ties a handkerchief to the sculpture and so, the Tarazona’s main festivals begin and continue until September 1st. They include concerts, bullfights, parades, folk dances and so on. The most important day is August 28th when the mass in honour of Saint Atilano, patron saint of the city, takes place. The Cipotegato is chosen every year in a draw held among the young people of the city. After six days of joy and fun, the fireworks and the “burning of the toad” bring these celebrations to an end. Dear EOI English mates. I’m going to describe a local and traditional dish from Tarazona, which is very tasty and nutritious: Lamb and rabbit casserole.The recipe is for four people. In an earthenware pot, fry the lamb and rabbit, these must be cut into pieces. Add&nbsp;potatoes, onions and garlic, all of them well chopped. When the meat is well browned and the onion transparent, we can add hot water to cover the meat.&nbsp;Add a small branch of thyme and salt for taste. Meanwhile, into a mortar, put the minced rabbit liver accompanied by walnuts making a pastry, and keep it aside. We will cook over low heat for 45 minutes. The water should not boil, that is the secret. Ten minutes before finishing, we will add the pastry of the rabbit liver. Put out the fire and let stand for 10 minutes until it is thickened. Cipotegato 2019

On the other hand, we visited Casa del Traductor (The Translator’s House), the only one in Spain. Many times ago, it was a nursing home and nowadays translators from all over the world come here to stay and translate books in different languages. That day we met two of them: Jos Den Bekker (Dutch) and Márta Pávai Patak (Hungarian). The house has two floors: on the first floor, there is a kitchen, a living room, a library and common areas with WIFI. On the second floor, there are fourteen fully equipped rooms with private bathroom and balcony where you can see the wonderful views of the city and Moncayo mountain. TARAZONA a guided TOUR

This year, our Language School celebrates its 30 anniversary and it has organized different activities: On the one hand, we went sightseeing around the city where we visited the most important monuments such as the Cathedral, the Town Hall and the famous old bullring which is the only octagonal bullring in Spain. The Cathedral is really wonderful and it´s the most important church, too.

At the beginning, it was built in the Mudejar architectural style, but today it´s an original blend of styles such as Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance.In the past, it was built outside the walled city under the name of Santa Maria de la Huerta (our Lady of the Huerta). It was partially closed in 1980 and completely shut in 1992 for 30 years, until 16th April 2011 when it was opened again by the Spanish Kings Felipe VI and Letizia. Since then, it has undergone continuous renovations and restorations. Its most important elements are the Chapels, the highly sculpted altarpiece, the Chairs in the choir, the Organ, and the beautiful paintings.

The Agramonte Sanatorium was an old tuberculosis hospital situated in Moncayo, an area near Tarazona. The hospital treated patients who couldn’t afford the treatment and many of them died because of this illness. This sanatorium closed its doors in 1978&nbsp;when tuberculosis treatment get included in the Social Security Health system since then, it has been abandoned. However, it is still known for its great history and for being a great tourist attraction due to here happen paranormal episodes.
