PATATAS BRAVAS






Ingredients:
4 medium-sized potatoes, usually 1 per person although you can prepare the amount you prefer.
Abundant oil to fry the potatoes.
Salt to taste.
For the salsa brava:
2 tablespoons of paprika dessert (you can put the two spicy, the two sweet or one of each, to your liking).
1 medium onion
250 gr of water
20 gr of flour
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 tablet of meat broth concentrate.
1 clove garlic.
Salt.

Steps to follow to make this recipe:

1.    To prepare the brava sauce, start peeling the onion and garlic and chop them very finely.

2.    In a pan or saucepan over medium heat pour the oil and when hot add the onion, garlic and a pinch of salt. Stir occasionally and let it cook until it becomes slightly transparent without getting brown, it will take about 10 minutes.

3.    Add the flour and cook it together with the onion over low heat for a couple of minutes so that the sauce does not taste like raw flour.

4.    Then add the tablespoons of paprika and stir well for a minute.

5.    Add the water little by little while stirring so that lumps do not form.

6.    Crumble the concentrated beef broth and add it to the saucepan, stir and let it cook together for 2-3 minutes to thicken, you will see that it is very fast. Remove the saucepan from the heat.

Bon Appetite

Serve the potatoes on a plate with the salt already poured and water over with the brava sauce and abundance to your liking.

PATATAS BRAVAS

Patatas Bravas are a typical tapa in Spain. Normally they eaten with friends. Potatoes always accompanied by spicy sauce. They were invented in Madrid 1960.



INGREDIENTS:

-1 medium onion
-1 clove of garlic
-20 grams of flour
-2 tsp of paprika
-250 grams of water
-2 tbsp of olive oil
-a pinch of salt
STEPS:

1. Cut the clove of garlic and the onion in little bits.
2. Put olive oil in a pan, and when the oil is hot add the onion and the garlic.
3. When this ingredients are soft, insert 20 grams of flour with a pinch of salt and mix.
4. To finish the spicy sauce, add 2 tsp of paprika, 250 grams of water and cook it for
10 min.
5. To end up with, put the spicy sauce in a little bowl.
6. Then, cut the potatoes and put in a pan for fry.
7. Finally, join in a tray, the sauce bowl and the fried potatoes.

TORRIJAS










Torrijas are a typical dessert in Spain. They are often eaten on Easter time but yummy all the year round. In English are translated as French toasts due to its origins. They have a humble origin but an incredibly rich flavour.

INGREDIENTS FOR 10 PEOPLE:

Bread from the day before
1 l of milk
4 eggs
A stick of cinnamon
A stripe of lemon peel
Honey or sugar with cinnamon for giving a final touch
Olive oil to fry them
STEPS:

1. Put the milk in a pan with the stick of cinnamon and the lemon peel and turn the fire
     on.
2. Wait until the milk is hot and the spices have given their flavour. Turn the fire off and
     set the milk aside. Wait until the milk is room temperature.
3. Cut the bread in loaves and soak it in the milk. Be careful they aren’t too much time
     or they will break.
4. Heat the oil until its hot.
5. Beat the eggs and impregnate the loaves in it.
6. Fry the loaves in the oil.
7. Prepare a plate with an absorbent paper sheet.
8. When the loaves become golden, take them away from the heat and place them on
     the paper sheet so they can remove their excess of oil.
9. Decorate them with the honey or the sugar with cinnamon.
10. Serve and eat.
