Friesian horse:
The price of a Friesian horse can range anywhere from between $3,000 to $30,000. ... One of the main reasons why Friesians are so valuable is because the breed is still recovering from nearly going extinct in the early 20th century. Even today, Friesians are still considered a rare and endangered breed.
They're not hard to ride, per se, just different. That big, boomy movement is far different than the gait of, say, a TB or Quarter Horse. Most also tend to be more forward, and that upright neck is new to a lot of folks used to lower-headed horses.
Friesians can jump but are not built for it and regularly jumping a friesian could cause suspensory ligament and tendon damage.
They are most commonly used for dressage and carriage driving, but have also been successful as jumpers and eventing horses, as well as for all-around riding. They are also valued as pleasure and trail horses.
